Joe the Joker

If you paid attention to Thursday night’s vice Presidential debate, you should have pulled out the fact that our current VP is a bit of a joker. Rude and crude. Now, we all know that Mr. Biden has a big sense of humor, but honestly, what is so funny about numerous Americans struggling and out of work, four Americans killed in Benghazi, gas prices high, and the other problems in America? Whatever Congressman Ryan said, Vice President Biden disrespectfully abused it. The VP tried to make the Congressmen look like a liar. He tried pointing out things he believed false from the Congressman.  But really, he was fact checking true statements and making them false. Who won the debate? And how will it affect the polls?

Before answering those questions, I would like to state something that was very disturbing to me.  One of the first and most noticeable lies coming from the VP is his response towards the attack against the United States in Benghazi. He firmly stated the following:

“We weren’t told they wanted more security there. We did not know they wanted more security.”

State Department officials directly contradicted this firm statement from Joe just this week, in testimony before a congressional panel.

“All of us at post were in sync that we wanted these resources,” said the top regional security officer in Libya earlier this year, Eric Nordstrom. A Utah National Guardsman who led a security team, Lt. Col. Andrew Wood, said: “We felt great frustration that those requests were ignored or just never met.”

Obviously they knew. We know this because of what was stated above. And the VP cannot take that statement back and declare that he did not mean that; near the end of this crucial debate, he stated in front of us all that he always means what he says.

Co-host of The Five, Andrea Tantaros, tweeted the following a few moments following the debate..

On Libya: Ryan won. On Afghanistan: Biden won. On entitlements: Ryan won. Iran: Ryan won. Syria: draw. Deficits: Ryan. Style: all Ryan.

I agree with this statement 100% and if you paid close attention to this debate, you would as well. I would also like to add that if you listened to this on the radio, Biden won. If you watched this on TV Ryan won.  Why is that?  Well, many Americans saw the VP as a joker.  As we all saw, the VP was interrupting in extremely disrespectful ways.  He smirked at serious statements and rolled his eyes in disrespect.  We then saw a very respectful Paul Ryan.  He allowed the VP to finish his point, and did not smirk in disrespect.

I believe that if Ryan didn’t win this debate, it was very close. And Rasmussen Reports has America’s Comeback team leading in the polls a few days after this debate. So, Joe’s joking style has affected the polls.

Gregory Blackie.  Franklin, Tennessee.
